88 Supermarket opened their third location in Metro Vancouver, which is the largest store yet in Richmond.
[Richmond, BC – October 19, 2024] Established in 2006, we are proud to be home to one of the largest selections of ethnic foods in Greater Vancouver. Our new location at 110-4591 Garden City Road, Richmond, BC, spans an impressive 19,000 square feet, making it the perfect one-stop shopping destination. From fresh produce and daily-cut meat to live seafood and delicious hot meals, 88 Supermarket truly has it all.
Our in-store dining option, 88 Kitchen, offers a delightful selection of Asian cuisine, featuring home-cooked meals, Vietnamese Subs (Bánh mì), salad rolls, and an assortment of sushi and sashimi that are sure to satisfy your cravings. We are particularly excited to introduce an exclusive Chinese BBQ (Siu-mei) section at our Richmond location, enhancing our diverse culinary offerings.

A Memorable Grand Opening
On October 19,2024, we proudly celebrated the grand opening of our Richmond store with a vibrant ceremony filled with joy and community spirit. The day began with a worship ceremony, led by our owners, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Chau, to bless this new venture and bring good fortune to 88 Supermarket.

In Chinese culture, a whole roast pig symbolizes wealth and prosperity. The management team and guests participated in a ceremonial cutting of the pig, symbolizing a smooth and prosperous journey ahead.
The festivities continued with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, featuring our esteemed VIP guests, including Mr. and Mrs. George Chow (周烱華夫婦) and Mr. Chan Au (區澤光先生). Their presence made the occasion even more special as we officially opened our doors to the community.
To commemorate the occasion, 88 Supermarket invited Mr. and Mrs. George Chow (周烱華夫婦), Mr. Chan Au (區澤光先生) and other guests to join the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Adding to the excitement, we hosted a lively lion dance performance, a traditional celebration that brought energy and joy to the event, symbolizing prosperity and good luck.
